API usage is measured in “credits,” which we refer to as LAIGOS. Each document sent for analysis through the API consumes a minimum of one credit. Documents that exceed one page, including whitespace characters and markup like HTML or XML tags, incur multiple credits, with one credit assigned for each page.
For example, if you submit three requests to the smartICR API, each containing one page, two pages, and one page respectively, you will be charged for four credits: one credit for the first request (one page), two credits for the second request (two pages), and one credit for the third request (one page).
The cost for API usage is deducted automatically from your Credits each time you initiate a query. The table below provides the pricing per page for our current APIs.
